Total War: Shogun 2 is a turn-based strategy video game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It was released in 2011 as part of the acclaimed Total War series. The game is set in feudal Japan during the Sengoku period and allows players to take control of one of several factions as they vie for dominance and the title of Shogun. Shogun 2 was initially released for Microsoft Windows and has since been ported to macOS and Linux.
